Introduction
Drospphila athabasca is in affinis subgroup belongs to the subgenus Sophophora in Drosophila. The Drospphila athabasca species complex contains three indistinguished morphologically, prezygotically isolated semispecies (Western-Northern, Eastern-A, and Eastern-B) that thought to have diverged less than 2.5 Mya.
